The Lost and Damned

The Lost and Damned is the first downloadable episode for GTA IV, and is exclusive to the Xbox 360 - a deal costing Microsoft a reported $25 million per episode. The Lost and Damned will be available for download on February 17, 2009 and we can expect several additions to the game including new weapons, clothes, vehicles, multiplayer modes and an enhanced sountrack with additional music. You play Johnny Klebitz, vice president of "The Lost" biker gang and the brother of the gang's leader, Billy Klebitz - Johnny makes an appearence in several missions in GTA IV. Although not a main character Niko will make a cameo appearence or two although the game is set to show a "Different side of Libery City".

Below is a list of features that we can expect in the game:

• As opposed to Niko Bellic, Johnny is already a resident of Liberty City so he knows his way around - thus you can get straight into the action.
• More emphasis on completing missions with other memebers of your gang - working as a team.
• When fighting alongside your gang you can travel in a "formation" whereby you form a convoy with your other gang members and can partake in banter with other members as we as see their stats.
• Your gang also have an "adrenaline" meter of sorts. This meter is increased by talking to them before a mission and the higher this meter is the more accurate, confident and tougher they are in battle.
• New high-quality building interiors.
• There are missions in The Lost and Damned which cross-over with those of GTA IV where you play the mission from Johnny's perspective.
• A selection of new weapons; an assault shotgun, grenade launcher, pipe bomb, sawn-off shotgun and automatic 9mm pistol.
• Around third the size of GTA IV as far as storyline missions are concerned.
• Mid-mission checkpoints to reduce the level or repetition in long missions.
• New vehicles - featuring a collection of bikes that include Johnny's own customized heavy-duty chopper.
• There are several features of your safe house including:
  
  • hi-low card game
  • arm wrestling game
  • TV you can watch (which includes new material)
  • you can also get weapons delivered there by one of your associates - including Jacob
• The pack will cost 1600 Microsoft points.
