Install to Hard Drive

Upon installing the New Xbox Experience you will be given the option to install certain games to your Xbox 360 hard drive to improve performance, reduce load times and noise form the DVD drive.

Installing GTA IV on your hard drive is a simple enough task, however, I have created a small video that should point you in the right direction. If the video isn't your thing then the following guide should help. The installation simply requires that you have the GTA IV disk inserted in the Xbox 360 and that you have 6.8GB of hard drive space available.

Installing a game

  1. Make sure the GTA IV disk is in the DVD drive; from the Xbox 360 dashboard navigate to "My Xbox", Press "Y" whilst the "Play GTA IV" option is selected.
  2. Next select the "Install to Hard Drive" option.
  3. Once the game is installed you will have the option to play it from the hard drive.

Running an installed game

  1. Running an installed game is easy. From the dashboard simply navigate to "My Xbox" » "Game Library" »"Collections" » "All Games".
  2. Next select the game you want to play and choose the "Play from Hard Drive" option.
